How to set up IOTLUX Wi-Fi smart light bulb?

IOTLUX smart light bulb is far more interesting than a general incandescent bulb.

Remote control without a remote controller but a smart phone only with multiple functions.

Therefore, IOTLUX smart light bulbs take the advantages of home security, energy saving and decoration.

Due to the difference of working carrier, there are two types of smart light bulbs: IOTLUX Wi-Fi smart light bulb and IOTLUX Bluetooth smart light bulb.

Then how to set up a IOTLUX smart light bulb to enjoy the fun of App remote control? Here are the detailed instructions for you.

IOTLUX Wi-Fi smart light bulb instruction manual

1. Prepare all the necessaries before installation

• Stable and accessible Wi-Fi network.

• A IOTLUX Wi-Fi light bulb well powered on.

• An IOS/Android smart device. (IOS 8.0 or above, Android 4.1 or above).

• IOTLUX App and a related account.

2. Connecting your IOS/Android devices to the Wi-Fi(e.g. Apple Device).

You can skip this step if your IOS/Android devices already successfully connected to the same Wi-Fi network.

Press the “Home” button, then click “Setting”, and enter into the “WLAN”.

Choose the WLAN name you want to connect to and enter the password accordingly and “Join” the internet.

Now your IOS device is access to the Wi-Fi now for operating.

Please note: for the first time connection, both your IOTLUX Wi-Fi smart bulb and IOS/Android devices should be in the same Wi-Fi network.

3. Install the IOTLUX App

You can scan the QR code below to download the IOTLUX App.

You can also search “IOTLUX” in the Google Play or App Store to download the free application.

IOS version download: App Store

Android version download: Google Play

Please note: Make sure IOS/Android devices are compatible with IOTLUX Wi-Fi smart light bulb.

Update the operation system of Apple devices to IOS 8.0 or above

Update the operation system of Android devices to Android 4.1 or above.

4. Register a IOTLUX account

You can skip this part if you have already registered and add some devices to your IOTLUX account.

Press the home key and back to the home page, open the IOTLUX App, tap “Register”.

Choose the country where you are and type your mobile phone or email in the page for registration.

Mobile phone register: enter your phone number, then you will receive a verification code on your phone(be available for 60 seconds only), and input the verification and password to complete the registration.

E-mail register: enter your email and input password to complete the registration.

5. Connecting IOTLUX Wi-Fi smart light bulb to the Wi-Fi

Sign in with the IOTLUX account, tap “+” on the top right corner to add a device.

Select device type, here is the “Lighting Devices”.

Add device, make sure the IOTLUX Wi-Fi light bulb is powered on and blinks rapidly so that the App can search the bulb nearby automatically.

Please note: In case of the bulb is not at its initial status but keep on without blinking, you can turn on and turn off for several times till its flashing quickly.

Enter correct Wi-Fi password and press “Confirm” to procced.

Now your IOTLUX Wi-Fi smart light bulb has already connected to the Wi-Fi successfully, and you can manage the bulb on your phone.

Please note: the IOTLUX Wi-Fi smart light bulb currently can only support the 2.4GHz band Wi-Fi network.

6. Modify the device’s name

After you managed to add the device, go to the device panel, tap the “…”on the upper right corner, then change device name to an easily recognized word or phrase, like bedroom light.

7. IOTLUX App Operation

The setup is now complete, you can manage the IOTLUX Wi-Fi light bulb no matter where you are without distance limitations.

Tap the bulb shape icon in the middle to turn the bulb on or off.

Since you have completed the Wi-Fi connection, here are the main functions for your reference.

7.1 Control the bulb color

Click the“Color” mode to bring up the color wheel screen.

Tap anywhere in the wheel to get your favorite color.

Slide the “Cool” banner to change the color depth.

Slide the “Brightness” banner to change the brightness of every color as well.

7.2 Control the bulb brightness

In order to control the brightness of the IOTLUX Wi-Fi light bulb, go to the “White” mode. Slide the dot to dim the level of brightness from 1% to 100% as you like.

7.3 Control the bulb color temperature

Press the “Device” button on the bottom, tap “Adjust”, and then go to the control page, slide the “Cool” bar to change the color temperature as your request from warm white(2700K) to cool white(6500K).

7.4 Alarm and timer

In order to set a timer or alarm, click “Schedule” mode to schedule setting screen.

Press “Add Schedule” button to set a specific time to turn on and turn off.

Set a timer regularly also, click “Repeat” and then choose the day you want an alarm and save it.

Now the IOTLUX Wi-Fi light bulb can turn on or turn off automatically every “Monday” regularly.

7.5 Control in group

In order to save time and control several IOTLUX Wi-Fi light bulbs together, create a group to control in one command.

Enter into one bulb controlling screen, tap the “…” on the upper right corner, click “ Create Group” below and select devices you want to add into the group.

Finally assign the group with an easy recognized name.

Please note: only when the bulbs are of the same functions can be add in a group to control together.

7.6 Share with family

After enjoying the fun of IOTLUX Wi-Fi light bulb, you can share this with your family members as well.

Back to the main bulb control screen, click the “…” on the upper right corner, press “ Device Sharing”, tap the “Add” bar on the bottom, and finally enter a IOTLUX account of your family member.

Now both you and your family can manage the IOTLUX Wi-Fi light bulb.

Please note: Sharing function is not supported over different countries and regions.

7.7 Customize scenes

In order to set unique a scene, you can back to the home page, click “Scenes” button to create your own scenes.

There are four names for your options.

If you want a different scene name, click the “+” on the upper right corner, input your preferred name and save it.

Choose a scene name and add devices to it. Click “Return Home” button, then will bring out “Edit Scene” page.

Tap “Add a condition”, go to “Select Condition” screen, press “Device” button and choose the bulb you want to customize.

Then it will redirect to the “Select Function” page.

Edit the four options “Switch, Mode, Color Temp and Brightness” with your preferred settings and save it to complete the customization.

7.8 Control presetting scenes

There are 8 preset scenes available, you can simply click from the options to get the scenes also.

Click “Scene” button and go into the scene operating page.

8. Wireless remote control

Remote control anywhere in the world can be realized on IOS/Android devices with following three conditions required:

• Your IOS/Android devices with internet accessible, even with your 3G/4G internet

• The IOTLUX Wi-Fi smart light bulb is under an available Wi-Fi environment.

• The IOTLUX Wi-Fi smart light bulb is always keeping power on.
